Hung Phi Dao Born on July 4, 1928 in Ninh Binh, Phat Diem, Vietnam. Hung Phi Dao started his life and journey into this world. Symbolically, born on the 4th of July, as it foretells his independence from communism. In 1975, he made the difficult and heart breaking decision to leave Vietnam as she fell to communism. He took his wife, Tuyet Tran Thi Dao, (Departed from this world 7 years ago), and 8 of his 11 children to the United States of America, in hopes of a better life and future for his family. Though he spent half of his life in Vietnam, he started over and completed the remainder of his life in the USA. Hung Dao lived a very modest, humble, and devout life. While maintaining a sense of connection with his homeland, he farmed many unique vegetables found in Vietnam. He devoted all his resources to his family, so that his children would have an opportunity for higher education. We are indebted and thankful for his many sacrifices. As no life has been left untouched by this pandemic, on August 22, 2021, COVID -19 claimed his life, (Just over a month after he celebrated his 93rd Birthday). We will miss him dearly and wish him eternal peace. We take comfort in knowing he now joins our mother and sister in Heaven. He is survived by his 10 children and 17 grandchildren
