Ina Reimann Obituary

Ina Reimann, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, at the age of 84. She was born on November 3, 1941, in Honey Island, Texas, the daughter of John V. Jones an Army serviceman, and Mary V. Overstreet (Jones). During her early years abroad, she met the love of her life, Dick Reimann, in Verona, Italy, in the Spring of 1958 while he was serving in the U.S. Army. They were married on October 8, 1960, and were married for 65 years. Her family was the center of her world. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard (Dick) B. Reimann of Niceville, Florida; her two sons, Lawrence (Larry) P. Reimann and his wife Patti, and Richard (Rick) L. Reimann and his wife Susan; amd her sister Rebecca F. Howell; as well as five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa (Terri) Hightower, who passed away on October 19, 2020.

Ina was a supportive partner; she totally accepted and supported everything her husband wanted to pursue. Together, they built a life that took them—and their three children—around the world, living in Alabama, Florida, Ohio, Virginia, Texas, Italy, and Germany. Following Dick’s retirement from his second career with Airborne Express, they settled in Niceville, Florida. In retirement, Ina and Dick enjoyed traveling and cruising, often sharing those experiences with their children. Ina was also an avid golfer who enjoyed time spent on the course, especially playing in leagues with her friends at Eglin Air Force Base.

She was known for her warm heart and generous spirit. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome.  She found great joy in cooking Italian cuisine and was especially known for her famous potato salad, a favorite among all her children and grandchildren and a staple at family gatherings.

Ina will be remembered for her strength, compassion, and the quiet grace with which she lived her life. Her legacy of love, devotion to family, and the memories she created—especially around the table—will continue to live on in all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
