Jacquelyn M Edge

Jacqueline “Jackie” McCullough Edge was a born in Bartow, Florida to parents William Harold and Nellie McCullough on July 28, 1943. Soon after birth, the family moved to and she became a native of the Niceville / Valparaiso area.

Jackie is preceded in death by her parents William Harold and Nellie McCullough, sister Tubie Ward, sister Betty Ward, and beloved husband Jewell Douglas “Doug” Edge.

Jackie is survived by her son, Douglas Ray Edge with wife Andrea and daughter Jasmine of Freeport, Florida. Her sister Barbara “Bobby” and her husband Tommy English of Pensacola, Florida. Sister Lucy Freytag of Wartburg, Tennessee, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

After Jackie married Jewell Douglas Edge in 1962 at 19 years old, she began a career in the Banking Industry for 40 years while making her home in Niceville at 1723 23rd Street in 1964. She lived there until her passing on December 2, 2020.

Jackie loved studying the history and genealogy of her family and the history of our area. She loved fishing, and really loved to bream fish on the river. Especially the early years with her husband when they mullet fished together on the boat. Her other enjoyments were gardening, photography, painting, and being with her family.

Mrs. Jackie was well loved throughout the community and she will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and the community.
