James Lee Dorman, Jr., age 71 of Niceville, Fl, passed away Friday, July 24, 2026. He is survived
by his Daughter, Karley J. Dorman and former wife, Jeanne Dorman.
Lieutenant Colonel James Lee Dorman was a distinguished officer in the United States Air
Force, serving his country with dedication and integrity for twenty-three years.
Jim was always searching for his next great adventure. An avid runner his entire life, Jim twice
completed the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington D.C. Jim was also a devoted Karate-Ka
of the CD Williamson dojo family for thirteen years, earning the title of Renshi, a belt rank of
5th degree black belt, and traveling multiple times to Okinawa, Japan to train. He also had a
passion for scuba diving, having logged over two hundred dives in the quest of crystal clear
warm water and was a certified rescue diver.
