James A. Humbarger, age 63, passed away in his home in Niceville, Florida on Sunday, September 17, 2023 following an illness. Jim was born May 8, 1960 in Napoleon, Ohio to Duane Humbarger and Barbara Poston. He was a 1978 graduate of Archbold High School in Archbold, Ohio and a graduate of the University of West Florida. He spent six years in the United States Air Force, choosing to stay at Eglin Air Force Base following his discharge and worked a long career as a computer programmer until his retirement. Jim was an avid sports fan and spent many years as a highly respected Florida High School football official, including being the Head Official twice at Florida State Championship games. Jim was also very excited about the arrival of his first grandchild due in January of 2024.
Jim is survived by one son, Taylor Humbarger and daughter-in-law, Kelly, of Tampa, Florida. He is also survived by three siblings, Dr. Jeffrey Humbarger of Sarasota, FL, Jeri Humbarger and Jodi (Todd) Moser, both of Bryan, OH.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
