Janis Cassell

Janis Shipley Cassell, 86, went to be with her Lord on September 4, 2023 after an extended illness.

She was born on January 20, 1937 in Johnson City, Tennessee to Eugene and Anna Lee Shipley. She is survived by James (Jim), her husband of 67 years; daughter, Susan Broadwell; son, David Cassell and his wife, Diana; grandchildren: Jennifer Benson and husband Riley; Eli Cassell; Katy McAlpine and husband Taylor; Jamie Cassell; Lynn Cassell; Dane Cassell; Shawna Johnston; Amanda Robinson and husband Jay; and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Doug Cassell.
