Jimmie Horne Obituary

Jimmie R. Horne a longtime resident of Niceville; loving husband, father and friend passed away June 14th, 2022, after an extended illness.

Born June 6, 1940, in Ponce de Leon, Florida to I.D. and Reba Horne. He graduated from Ponce de Leon High School in 1958. Upon graduation he started working with Coca-Cola in DeFuniak Springs, Florida and in 1963, he transferred and moved his family to Niceville, Florida. Jimmie continued working for Coca-Cola and retired after 22 years of service. After his retirement, he started a second career in real estate and in 1990, Jimmie and Jesselee established Citizen’s Real Estate and the business is still operating today. He was a member of Church on Bayshore (First Baptist Church Niceville) since 1972 and in 1976 become an Ordained Deacon. His faith, his church and church family were treasures he valued dearly. As a Believer in Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ he felt being a husband, father and believer were his most important achievements in life.
