Joann Morelli

Joann Morelli was born on July 6th, 1950 in New York City, New York.  She is the daughter of Josephine and Salvatore Mogavero.  

She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home in Niceville, Florida on July 24, 2024.

Being a local to New York City she lived and spent her younger years in the bustling culture that is “the big apple.” She graduated from New York public school in 1968.

Joann moved to Niceville, Florida enjoying a calmer city where she raised her family. Shortly after she attended and graduated from Okaloosa Walton Community College with an associate’s in business. She led a strong and fulfilling career as an Administrative Manager for the local healthcare area from 1980 up until 2023 when she retired.

Her passions included tending to her garden where she had a strong green thumb. She loved her family and spending time with them; but most of all her Granddaughter, Korey Morelli, held a special place in her heart.

She is preceded in death by her parents Josephine and Salvatore Mogavero, and her Grandson Cody Hall.

She is survived by Her sons John and James Morelli and his partner Laura Haley and her daughter Arianna, Granddaughter Korey Morelli, brothers Albert and William Mogavero.  And her loving partner of many years, James Ferrari.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
