John Brooks O'Neil

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of John B. O'Neil, 82 years old, on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the Vitas Hospice Unit of Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola, Florida. John was born November 9, 1942 in Greenfield, Massachusetts to Harry and Aileen O'Neil. John graduated from Western New England College, Springfield, Massachusetts, and retired as a systems analyst after 27 years from WESTVACO Corporation.

He loved fishing, especially in the Thousand Islands and Quabin Reservoir, and designing and building items. John and Pat retired to Niceville, Florida and have lived in Bluewater Bay since 1999.

John leaves his wife of 63 years, Pat; three children, Marc of Framingham, Massachusetts, David of Riverton, Utah, and Amy of Longmeadow, Massachusetts; 3 grandsons: Conner Lajoie, Trysten Lajoie, and Jacob O'Neil; his twin sister Joan Miles; and sister Patsy Dinnie and brother-in-law Bob Dinnie.
