Joy F. Boling

Joy Boling of Crestview, Florida, went back home to heaven on February 27, 2026.

She was born in Arkansas in 1931 to N. P. Burlison and Lora (nee Pruett) Burlison Sinclair.

Joy was married to Johnny V. Boling, Sr. for seventy plus years before his passing in 2023.

She was a member of and founding member of several  Assemblies of God churches and a past member of the Gideons.

Joy was a faithful wife and mother, and enjoyed her family She enjoyed helping others, and making many friends. One of her favorite past times was working crossword puzzles, cooking, baking, and reading. She also loved to listen to gospel music.

Her idea of a perfect day might be one of sitting on a shaded porch in a favorite rocking chair, and sipping a glass of iced tea while visiting with family and friends - all before enjoying a great southern supper.

Surviving Joy, aka "Mur", are four children: Sharon (Rev. Steve) Bortner, Jeffrey (Greta) Boling, Judith Boling, and Johnny V. Boling, Jr.; four grandchildren: Stephen (Kara) Bortner, Stephanie Bortner, Scott (Katherine) Bortner, and Tyler (Eva Joy) Boling; three step grandchildren: Devon Degraffenreid, Lindsay (Travis) Montgomery, and Luke (Ashley) Alford; four great grandchildren: Johnathan, Cameron, Emerson, and Charlotte; four step great grandchildren: Mason, Emma, Aubrey, and Lily; brother-in-law: Larry Rowson; nephews: Steven and Brian Rowson, Tim Morris, three Burlison nephews; and nieces: two Burlison nieces. Joy was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

It is with sadness wrapped in love and peace that we bid farewell to our momma. Return to your heavenly home and rest well. We know that we will see you again if we know Christ as our Savior.
