Joy Elaine Yost

Joy Elaine Murry Yost, age 73.9 years old (speaking of age in fractions) of Mary Esther, Fl, crossed over to be with her Lord & Savior on December 10th at 1:37 PM, at North Florida Regional Medical Center, in Gainesville, FL, due to complications after a heart attack on December 5, 2020.  

Joy was born in 1947 to her parents, Clyde B & Dorothy M Murry of Lancaster, PA. She is survived by her fiance, Irvin Wilson of Mary Esther, her children:  Glenn Curtis, Jr (Sara), Angela Y Redmon (Micah), Brad Douglas (Paula), and Stephen Barry, 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren (all of whom she absolutely adored).  Joy is also survived by her brother, Barry Murry (Judy), niece & nephew, Aunt Jeannine, and multiple cousins and their families. 

Joy was employed in a newspaper office in PA, before she became a military spouse for 38 years. She then retired after 22 years of civil service at the Eglin and Hurlburt Commissary.

Joy was a member of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries (SBN out of Baton Rouge, LA) and she loved the LORD JESUS CHRIST with all of her heart and soul and loved being a crusader for Christ! 

Joy loved living her life to its fullest, she loved her family, and she took pride in all she did.  She enjoyed talking, dining out with family and friends, gardening, cooking, studying the Bible, watching Hallmark movies & true crime shows, shopping, and was a true patriot of her country. 

Joy will be laid to rest in the Peace Garden at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home in Niceville, Florida on Tuesday, December 15th, 2020.
