Judy Thompson

Judy Thompson, born on July 1, 1953, in Batavia, NY, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2024. She was the cherished daughter of Dominic and Mary Nicometo, who preceded her in death.

In her younger years, Judy was a hard worker, never afraid to take on any task or challenge that came her way. She dedicated herself to her jobs and family with unwavering commitment. Judy had a very deep love for her mother, Mary, who was a guiding light in her life and a source of strength and inspiration.

Above all, Judy deeply loved her children. She was the beloved mother of Tony Thompson, Nikki Thompson, Ashlee Thompson, and Alyssa Thompson. She was also the proud grandmother to Rylee, Lyric, Drummer and Kaitlin, who brought immense joy to her life. Judy was the most loving sister and is survived by her siblings, Butch Nicometo (Linda), David Nicometo (Diane), and Lisa Frederic (Shane). She was the proud aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. All of her family will forever hold her memory close.

Known for her deep love of animals, Judy especially adored her dogs, Angel and Rosie. Her compassionate spirit extended beyond her family to every living creature she encountered, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. Judy also had a great passion for shopping, always finding joy in the little things and bringing happiness to those around her with her discoveries.

Judy will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, friend, and devoted dog mom. Her warmth, kindness, and love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A private family service will be held to honor Judy's life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her name to Saving with Soul Pet Rescue of NW Florida, a cause close to her heart.
