Kirsten Zanah Jones

Kirsten Zanah Jones, 20, of Niceville, Florida, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020 in a boating accident in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She was born April 18, 2000 to her parents, Renita White and Thomas Jones in Germany. Kirsten is also a daughter to John White and Erin Jones.

Kirsten graduated from Niceville High School in 2018 graduating Magna Cum Laude and was a junior at the University of Alabama where she was working on her undergraduate degree. Kirsten was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.

Kirsten was a daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, niece, cat mom, friend to everyone, a child of God, and a free spirit. She was the life of the party and lit up any room she walked into with her spunky personality and heart of gold. She loved to dance and was captain of the Eaglette’s dance team in high school. She excelled in everything she put her mind to and worked very hard in school.

Kirsten is survived by her parents, Renita and John White and Thomas and Erin Jones. Also surviving are her sisters, Makayla Jones, Charlene White, Stephanie White, and Katie Jones; brothers, Brendan Jones and Derek Jones; grandparents, Zanah McCoury, Debbie and Jim Weber, and Thomas and Diana Jones, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, sorority sisters, and countless friends.

The wildflower we all knew and loved will never be forgotten and forever cherished in everyone’s hearts.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Crosspoint Church in Niceville, Florida. Visitation at Crosspoint will be from 2:00-3:00 pm followed by a memorial service beginning at 3:00pm. A graveside service will be held immediately after the memorial service at Heritage Gardens Cemetery in Niceville, FL.
