Kiyomi Imagawa Porter, 78, of Crestview, Florida, went to be with the Lord on March 16, 2023. Kiyomi was born on January 29, 1945, in Himeji, Hyogo, Japan. She spent most of her life raising her two sons in the Hampton/Newport News, Virginia area.
Kiyomi is survived by her two sons, Anthony (Emely) and Joseph (Laura); seven grandchildren: Joseph (Jessica), Jessica (Jourdan), Justin (Lauren), Trenton, Joshua (Rachel), Jason, and Christine; one great-grandson: Joseph; brother YoshiHaru Imagawa; and many nieces and nephews in Japan.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Taneko Imagawa, and her father, Ichido Imagwa, and siblings Eiichi Imagawa, Yuko, Kayoko, and Yoko.
Kiyomi graduated from Komazawa Girls High school in Tokyo, Japan, in 1963, and went on to obtain her college degree from Thomas Nelson Community College in Virginia in 1989. She worked most of her career at Office Max and Burlington Coat Factory in Hampton Roads, Virginia area before retiring to Florida. She was a faithful member of Hilton Christian Church in Newport News, Virginia. One of her proudest moments in life is when she obtained her United States Citizenship on June 11, 1976. Kiyomi was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother with a legacy that will live on forever.
