In Loving Memory of Lawrence “Larry” Hatfield
Larry, a devoted husband, proud father, loving brother, uncle, grandpa, and loyal friend, went home to be with the Lord on October 30, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was 57 years old.
Born on June 10, 1968, in New York, Larry was known for his strong work ethic, big heart, and quiet strength. He believed in showing up, working hard, and taking care of the people he loved. Whether on the job, helping a friend, or tinkering in the yard, Larry took pride in doing things right and never shied away from a hard day’s work.
Larry found his greatest peace outdoors. He loved early mornings on the water with a fishing pole in hand or late nights tearing up the roads, mudding in his truck. He enjoyed the simple things; a glass of sweet tea, a big chunk of dip in his lip, and the laughter of family gathered.
He also had a deep love for baseball and spent many years coaching, mentoring, and cheering on young players. Known fondly as “Papa Coach,” Larry inspired confidence, teamwork, and respect on and off the field, leaving a lasting impact on every player he guided.
Larry was a devoted husband to his wife, Corrine, his rock and best friend. He was a proud father to five children, a cherished grandpa to fourteen grandchildren, and a caring uncle who always made time for his nieces and nephews. His love extended to his six fur babies, who were never far from his side and brought him comfort every day.
He will be remembered for his grit, loyalty, and humor. The kind of humor that could light up a room or calm a storm. Larry could fix just about anything, tell a story that made you laugh until you cried, and make everyone feel right at home.
Though his passing leaves a hole in many hearts, we take comfort in knowing that Larry is now at peace in Heaven. He is free from pain and surrounded by God’s love. His spirit will live on in the lessons he taught, the love he gave, and the memories cherished by all who knew him.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be held on November 18th at 2:00 PM at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home, 2201 Partin Dr N., Niceville, FL, with Bro. Mitch Perry officiating. Family and friends are invited to come share stories and honor a man whose life was defined by love, faith, and family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take a quiet moment outdoors — cast a line, watch a sunrise, or tell a good story — just the way he would have wanted.
