Mr. Leo F. Walsh, 82, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2021 at the Okaloosa Medical Center, Crestview, Florida. Leo was a resident of Valparaiso Florida. He was the son of the late Frank L. Walsh and Alma Walsh (LaRocca) of Everett, MA. He is survived by his brothers Charles Walsh of Tiverton, RI and David Walsh of Dedham, MA and his sisters Marilyn Costello of Weymouth, MA and Helena Kuhn of Louisville, KY and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Jacqualyn Bellew of Braintree, MA and his brother John (aka Frankie) Walsh. Leo graduated from Jamaica Plain High School in Boston, MA. After high school he joined the US Air Force in 1957. Leo retired from the service in 1978. During his Air Force career, Leo attained the rank of TSgt. He was an air traffic control radar technician and travelled extensively during his career to sites in Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Oklahoma, Florida, Minnesota, and many other areas installing and repairing radar equipment. After his Air Force career, he attended Troy State College where he received a masters degree in Electrical Engineering. He also attended NW Florida State College. He worked for a number of years as an electrical engineer for defense contractors in Maryland after which he moved back to the Eglin AFB area to enjoy his favorite places in the Valparaiso, Niceville and Ft. Walton Beach area. Leo enjoyed fishing and the company of his friends, especially Bob, Tom and Shandra and many others. Leo was a kind and generous person who was always willing to help others. He will be sorely missed by his friends and family.
