Linda Darlene McCraney

On April 8, 2021 at the age of 71 Darlene McCraney left her worldly body and joined Jesus. She was surrounded by friends and family that loved her dearly. She was born in Valparaiso FL on September 24, 1949 to the late Viola G Phelps. She is preceded in death by her mother Viola and father, Robert D. Phelps.

Darlene is survived by her loving husband of 52 years CB McCraney, her best friend and daughter Tamara M Thorne son in law Rob, sister Barbara Strickland (Roger), and brother Quinton Willingham. She also leaves behind the light of her life granddaughters Cori Blaine Thorne and Taylor Echols (Alex). Our grami was expecting her first great grandchild, Blakely Grace Echols, in June of this year.

Darlene was the epitome of Southern class; she never met a stranger and was sure to make an impression on everyone she met. She was one of a kind who had a love for life and those around her.

Visitation will be held Wednesday April 14, 2021 from 4 to 6pm at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home in Niceville Fl. There will be a celebration of life at a later date per her request.
