Lisa Faye Brumett, 62, passed away on May 25, 2026. Born on May 23, 1964, in Bristol, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Haskell Hicks and Linda Faye Hicks.
Lisa was a graduate of John S. Battle High School in Bristol, Virginia. She dedicated many years of service to Mullican Flooring, where she worked as a Quality Control Lead from November 19, 2012, until September 29, 2023.
Lisa found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved shopping, especially at Walmart and Amazon, and treasured spending time at the beach searching for seashells. She had a fondness for leopard print and the color pink. Above all, Lisa enjoyed cooking and took great pride in caring for and providing for her family. She also dearly loved her faithful dog, KK, who brought her much companionship and happiness.
In addition to her parents, Lisa was preceded in death by her brother, Tony Ray Hicks.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Larry Brumett, Jr. and his wife, Ashley Brumett; her daughter, Krissa Hicks and her boyfriend, Kyle; and her sister, Linda Marie Hicks. She also leaves many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date in her hometown of Bristol, Virginia, and Bristol, Tennessee. Details will be announced by the family when arrangements are finalized.
Lisa’s warmth, generosity, and love for her family will be remembered always. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
