Lois L Padgett

Lois Lassiter Padgett, age 95, went home to be with the Lord on December 10, 2021, @ 3:16 pm.

Lois Padgett, Granny to her grandkids, was born in Walton County, FL. on November 11, 1926, to Charlie and Viola Lassiter.

Lois was a strong woman who overcame so much in her 95 years of life. Her love was absolute and she never held grudges. She made everyone around her feel special. Her last words were “I love you too” spoken to her granddaughter.

Her life stories were memorable and her laughter while recounting them, was contagious.

She was a woman of strong faith, who told of brush arbor meetings and sunrise prayer services with her mother. She raised her children in that same faith and the legacy she leaves behind is 3rd, 4th, and 5th generation Pentecostals. One of her last wishes was for her faith to be shared with those here today.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years RC Padgett, one daughter Shirley Holladay and one great-grandson Ryan “RC” Richardson.

She leaves behind, Two Brothers: Charlie and Ted Lassiter One Sister: Maggie Lassiter Fanning Two daughters: Linda Richardson (husband Dave) and Carolyn Ratliff (husband Larry).

Five sons: Robert Jr., Tim (wife Janice), David (wife Susie), James (wife Darby), and John (wife Renee).

Eighteen Grandchildren: Christopher “Craigdawg" Richardson, Maryann Hawkins, Heath Nichols, David Alan Richardson, Angelique Teti, Kimberly Williams, Melissa Encardes, Sandy Hale, Parrish Padgett, Jamey Gossman, Alex Ratliff, Brian Padgett, Floyd Padgett, Justin Padgett, Miranda Evens, Meghan Huling, John Dawson Padgett and Selah Padgett.

Thirty-four Great-Grandchildren: Lindsy Hall, Chelsey Williams, Brandon Bowers, Ashlyn Encardes, Aspen Matthews, Rachel Richardson, Johnathan Hawkins, Tiffany Musser, Jordan Richardson, Brianna Nichols, Brittany Nichols, Bailey Nichols Devin Williams, Taralyn Teti, Karleighe Williams, Matthew Encardes, Tameryn Teti, Kaelem Williams Brian Miller, Dosier Gossman, Christian Ratliff, Darreian Williams, Dewley Gossman, Norah Ratliff, Sadie Hale, Lyric Padgett, Diesel Gossman, Sylas Padgett, Charith Williams, Adaline Evens, Savannah Evens, Allianna Huling and William Evens (due Jan 2022).

Five Great-Great Grand Children: Eli Matthews, Briar Musser, Gabriel Matthews, Bodhi Hawkins, Willow Musser (due Mar 2022) and countless nieces and nephews.
