Luciana Foote

Luciana (Lucy) Foote passed away peacefully at home on May 20, 2022 at 94. Lucy was born in Kittery, Maine and was the daughter of Henry and Evelyn Drusendahl.

Lucy graduated Traip Academy, Kittery, Maine in 1945 and married her high school sweetheart, Hubert Foote, May 5, 1945 in Atlanta, Georgia.

With Hubert being in the service (Navy and Air Force), Lucy had the opportunity to travel the world. Okinawa and England were her favorite places. Hubert retired from the Air Force in 1971 which gave them another opportunity to get in their motorhome and travel throughout the United States for the next 12 years finally settling in Niceville, FL.

All through her life, even at a very young age, she was an artist. She never stopped painting or entering art shows, and she won numerous awards. Even when she was on the road she painted and entered art shows. She was president of the Arts and Design Society and has stayed an active member ever since. She got interested in digital art for the past few years and has won awards for her digital paintings also. Lucy taught art in Okinawa and in Fort Walton Beach to private groups.

Lucy has left us to join her high school sweetheart of 77 years, who passed away in 2011. She is survived by her children Linda Foote, Huntsville, AL, Dennis Foote, Niceville, FL, Lorraine Lacroix, Fort Walton Beach, FL and David Foote, Fort Walton Beach, FL. Lucy also has 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Services will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery, June 10, 2022 at 1:30pm.
