Mack Kirkland Obituary

Mack Ronald Kirkland, beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather passed away peacefully on March 26, 2021 in Crestview, Florida. Mack was born on July 29, 1941, in Atmore, Alabama to Margorie and Horace Kirkland. 

He is survived by his wife, Betty Mikles Kirkland, his children Kim Bryan (Craig), Rhonda Garcia (Jesus) and Carey Kirkland (Renee). Mack has 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

Mack was an active member of Faith Independent Baptist Church in Niceville. He loved his Heavenly Father. He enjoyed helping others and attending church services.

Mack graduated from Saint Leo University with a bachelor’s degree in 1986. He served in the United States Air Force for 21 years and then went on to work Civil Service at Eglin Air Force Base working on military contracts, until he retired in 1996.

After Mack retired, he enjoyed playing golf and spending a lot of time on his sailboat.  He loved nothing more than being out on the water. He also enjoyed traveling in his RV. But the most important thing to him was spending time with his family. Mack always made the time for his family and was there whenever anyone needed him.

Mack is preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Ward Kirkland and his father, Horace Kirkland; his brother Ray Kirkland; Wives Shirley Reeves and Lois Kirkland.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021, at 11 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Valparaiso, Florida, 108 Aurora St, Valparaiso, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
