Malinda S. Brewer

Malinda S. Brewer, born on January 20, 1945, in Headland, Alabama, passed away on May 3, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Marvious Youlus Shelley and Mary Eliza Messer Shelley.

Malinda worked as a secretary for a general at Eglin Air Force Base. She was known for her dedication and professionalism throughout her career.

Malinda was a founding member of Grace Community Church where she faithfully served as the treasurer for over 24 years. She helped keep things organized, loved to cook for church gatherings, and enjoyed sewing and making crafts for Christmas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim S. Brewer; her parents, Marvious Youlus Shelley and Mary Eliza Messer Shelley; and siblings Beatrice Shelley Bond, George Edward Shelley, Clarence Byrd Shelley, Edana Mae Shelley, Ethel Shelley Mosely, Howard William Shelley, and Shelby Ray Shelley.

She is survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews who loved her dearly.

A private viewing for family will be held at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home on May 9, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM. A public visitation will follow at 1:30 PM, with a funeral service at 2:00 PM.

Malinda will be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and the love she shared with her family and friends.
