Margaret Anna (Bauman) Weiss passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on February 24, 2022, one day before her 97th birthday.
Peggy was born on February 25, 1925, in Philadelphia, PA. She lived next door to a boy, Herman "Herm" Weiss, who because the love of her life. They married on February 5, 1944, in Tallahassee, FL. Their forever song became "I'll Be Seeing You". Peggy was an Air Force wife, mother of two, and homemaker. She and her family were stationed at many points of duty, and they settled in Dover, DE, in 1958. During their many travel adventures, they discovered Niceville, FL, and in 1983, made it their home. They were married for 67 happy years until Herm passed in 2010.
Peggy was well known in Niceville for her work as a counted cross-stitch artist. Her creations looked like paintings and are cherished by those lucky enough to have one.
Peggy is survived by her son, John Weiss and his wife, Kathy, of Rehoboth Beach, DE; her daughter, Nancy Reichal and her husband, Joe of Niceville, FL. She has three grandchildren, Andy Weiss and his wife Carla of Palm Harbor, FL, Denise Reichal Berry and her husband Thomas of Niceville, FL, and Joe Reichal and his wife Amanda of Marietta, GA. She also has two great-granddaughters, Kayla and Alexandra Reichal of Marietta, GA, as well as two great step-grandchildren, Quincy McGriff of St. Petersburg, FL, and Monique Grant of Palm Harbor, FL. They will never forget her generosity, her sassy quips, her tenancity, and her unique sense of humor. She will forever be in their hearts.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home, 2201 Partin Drive N, Niceville, FL 32578. Https://www.heritagegardensfuneralhome.com/
Visitation will be in the funeral home at 1:00pm followed by a gravesite service at 2:00pm.
