Maria Bradshaw Obituary

Marisa, as she was known to her family and friends, from Niceville, FL, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2024, surrounded by her loving husband and family.

Marisa was born in Madrid, Spain to Mr. Eusebio and Cecilia Dalda on August 12, 1938. She graduated from an all-girls Catholic school and then worked for the Spanish Department of Education in Madrid. In her journey to learn more English, she met Brad Bradshaw in 1960, who was in the U.S. Air Force, stationed at Torrejon AB (Madrid). They fell in love and were married on April 22, 1961, at Our Lady of Angustias Catholic Church (Madrid).

During their military life, Marisa lived in several states, the Philippines, Okinawa (Japan), and returned to Spain for a few years, caring for her family while her husband was deployed, ensuring a loving and stable home for her boys. Marisa's love for travel became a passion; she loved sightseeing and discovering new places and cultures – from Europe, Asia, Central America, and the United States. After falling in love with the American culture, Marisa became a U.S. citizen on April 24, 1969.

In 1985, Marisa and Brad settled in Niceville, Florida. During this time, she also completed her associate’s degree and worked for the Army & Air Force Base Exchange in administrative duties, retiring after 24 years.

Marisa is survived by her husband of 63 years, Graham B. Bradshaw (Brad); her son Paul T. Bradshaw (Elvia) from Pensacola, FL; son Raymond E. Bradshaw (Anna) from Meridian, ID; the two very special lights of her life, her granddaughters, Stephanie Renk (David) and Jennifer Espinola (Justin); and her three great-grandchildren, Mark Renk, and Jason and Emily Espinola, all from Meridian, ID.
