Maria was a Daughter, Mother, Wife, Abuela, and Bisabuela. She was born in Houston, Texas, eventually, the family moved to San Antonio Texas, where she spent most of her life. Maria loved gardening, going on camping trips to the Frio River and the Gulf Coast with her family and friends. Barbecues at home with family and friends were a regular occurrence. Maria worked at different jobs during her lifetime, she was a seamstress, worked for the county agriculture extension, was an awesome and highly awarded Tupperware Dealer, then became a Substitute Teacher, a job she enjoyed immensely. Maria spent the last 12 years of her life living in Florida in a place that was still sunny, humid, and close to the Gulf waters.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents Lucio and Guadalupe Lopez, nee Hernandez, her daughter Dolores Uresti, and her ex-husband Andrew Uresti.
She is survived by three children: Magda Hinojosa (Robert), Lupe Torres, and Andrew Uresti Jr.
