Marion F Shorey

Marion F. Shorey, age 88, passed away peacefully in her home in Shalimar on May 21, 2021. She was born in Yonkers, New York on May 14, 1933 to Dorothy and Henry See. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, SSgt. George C. Shorey Jr. She was most well known for her passion for gardening, cooking, and her love of animals. Marion was an amazing, loving and caring wife, mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother. She is survived by her five daughters Tami Schipper (Paul), Kathy Mitchell (James), Cheryl Andrews (Keith), Mary Beth Lorange, and Melanie Chance (Casey); grandchildren Christopher Shorey (Autumn), Tabitha Schipper, Jennifer Boswell (Dustin), Natasha Mitchell, Samantha Shorey, Crysta Weaver, Addison Chance, Anniston Chance, and Camden Chance; great-grandchildren Nicholas, Riley, Aayla, Adele, Cassandra, Reagan, Paxton, Emory, Rowan, and Soraya. Marion is also survived by her younger brother Henry See.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday May 26, 2021 at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home in Niceville, FL for visitation at 9am and service at 10am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for a donation to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
