It is with sorrowful hearts that we announce the passing onto the Lord of Mary Ady Fisher, of Niceville, Florida, age 45, on November 17, 2025, after living most of her life suffering with seizures that doctors could not control.
Mary was born December 2, 1979, in Oakland, CA, to Howard and Susan Ady. The family moved to Alexandria, Virginia, from Alameda, CA, in 1982 for 28 years, where Mary graduated from Mount Vernon High School and attended Northern Virginia Community College & George Mason University. She graduated from the nationally recognized Potomac Massage Training Institute in Washington, D.C., and became a Professional Member, Massage Therapist in the American Therapy Association and a Licensed Massage Therapist.
Mary authored “An Infant Massage Guidebook for Well, Premature, and Special Needs Babies,” and her daughter, Chloe, served as the infant pictured throughout the book.
Mrs. Fisher worked for several national massage companies, including Massage Envy. She was a Certified Infant Massage Instructor by the International Association of Infant Massage since 2000. She taught infant massage classes at numerous locations in the National Capital Region, including INOVA Hospital, and served as a faculty member for Heritage Institute’s Associate Degree program in Massage Therapy, teaching anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and practical massage therapy.
Mary moved to Niceville, FL, in 2011, and enjoyed traveling to Hawaii for winter vacations, gardening, and keeping up with correspondence with her many friends throughout the country. In retirement, Mary started a small sourdough company, selling her French boules and brownies at local farmers’ markets.
Mary is survived by her husband, Donald Jeffrey Fisher; two daughters, Chloe and Delaney; former husband, Russell Fontaine, in Niceville, FL; her parents, Howard and Susan Ady of Las Vegas, Nevada; brother, Earle Ady, of Jackson Hole, Wyoming; and sister, Alison Ady, of Round Rock, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home in Niceville, FL. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM, with a funeral service at 3:00 PM. Inurnment will follow at Heritage Gardens Cemetery. A wake will be hosted at the Fisher residence, 2104 Bayshore Drive, Niceville, FL.
Mary will always be remembered for her warm, engaging smile, laughter, kindness, and the care and love of her family and friends. Her legacy lives on in all the lives she touched. She lived her life in faith.
“Well done, good and faithful servant,” Mary. Matthew 25:21
