Melody Sean Dill

Melody Sean Chrysler Dill passed away on September 22,2020. Melody was 59 years old. Melody was born on June 13, 1961 in Miami, Florida to Dorothy Brown Chrysler and Richard Darold Chrysler.

Melody was a dedicated mother. She treasured her two daughters and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Gramma.  Melody was known for her contagious laugh, smile, and outgoing personality. She had a passion for gardening and obsessive online shopping. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she enjoyed watching the Hallmark and ID channel. Her favorite music artists were Pat Benatar, Heart, and Madonna. Melody was very creative, and enjoyed learning new craft ideas from her lifelong friend, Lori.

In December of 2017, Melody was diagnosed with cancer. Her condition was very severe. In early 2020, Melody found out her oral cancer had spread to her lungs at a stage 4. She began chemotherapy and radiation treatments. In June 2020, Melody decided to end all treatments and begin her at-home hospice care. After years of a brave and valiant fight, she has lost herbattle with cancer.

Melody was preceded in death by Dorothy (her mother), Richard (her father), and Darold (her brother). She is survived by Darrell Dill (her husband), Tiffany and Summer Goetz (her two daughters), Debbie Little (her sister), Richard Chrysler and Harold Hood (her brothers), Quinn (her granddaughter) and several nieces and nephews.

A closed-casket visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 from 5-7pm at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery in Niceville, Florida. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 26th, 2020 at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Destin, Florida beginning at 11:00am with Pastor Dewey Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Heritage Gardens Cemetery at 1:00pm.
