Michael Eugene Berardi, Jr.

Michael "Mike" E. Berardi Jr. was welcomed by God's loving arms, too soon for those of us who loved him, on December 27, 2026 at age 72.

Mike was a modern Renaissance man, having had over 25 careers and playing over 15 musical instruments. He loved God, seldom met a stranger, and loved to talk, enjoying sharing knowledge and viewpoints.

He leaves behind his best friend and wife of 41 years Karolyn Machuta Berardi (also know as Karo Kuuykendall), son Ben, sister Christine Berardi (partner Matt), brother Rick Berardi (wife Linda), brother-in-law Ken Machuta, and numerous much-loved nephews, nieces, and friends.

Mike had a long-term burning desire for folks to have a relationship with God, and to wake up and be aware of what is happening in the world.

He was a disabled veteran who continued on with good spirit, despite numerous health issues.

A Celebration of Mike's Life will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the American Legion Hall at 898 East James Lee Boulevard in Crestview, Florida. Come share a memory and smile, and eat. The family will be providing a nacho and baked potato bar and tossed salad, but invites you to bring a snack or dessert if you'd like. Please hold those who loved him in your prayers and, if possible, let Karolyn know you plan to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to donate to any or all of the following: Crestview Area Shelter for the Homeless, DAV Chapter 57, and the American Legion Post 75.
