Morris Barron Obituary

TSgt Morris Glen Barron, USAF Ret., age 86 of Valparaiso, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.

Glen was born in Troy, Alabama on February 21, 1937 to Claude & Thelma (Bentley) Barron.

Glen enlisted in the Air Force in 1958 and served proudly for 20 years, retiring from Eglin AFB as an Automotive
Technician. His military career included assignments to Labrador, Korea, Okinawa, and Vietnam. After retiring from the military, Glen continued to work as an Automotive Technician for another 17
years in Civil Service. During his Military and Civil Service careers, Glen worked as a Carpenter, Sheet Metal worker,
Automotive Paint & Body mechanic, and a General Purpose, Heavy Duty, and Special Purpose Vehicle mechanic.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude Barron, Thelma Barron LeGear, stepdad Alter LeGear, brothers
Clarence Barron, Rudolph Barron, RC Barron, Charles Barron, Junior LeGear, and sister Eula Mae Thomas.
Glen is survived by his wife, of 65 years, Janice (Baker) Barron, son Kenny Barron (Debbie), daughter Kerry Roberts
(Jay), five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, sister Mary McWhorter, and numerous nephews and nieces.

The family would like to offer our sincere appreciation to the staff at Gentiva Hospice who cared for him and
became like family, especially his nurse Kelsie.
