A message from Bob: “My darling, my sweetheart, the love of my life, Regina Tucker (Maxfield) was ripped away from this world the evening of March 8, 2025. She was signed up as a donor, and God decided that there were others that needed her help, so he took her from me.”
Regina Tucker Maxfield, 65, of Washington, D.C. was born on January 19, 1960, to Mary and Arthur Tucker. She received her high school diploma from Montgomery Blair High School, Maryland. Regina then went on to live a life full of dedication and service to others. A proud member of AMVETS, American Legion and VFW Women’s Auxiliaries, she volunteered her time supporting veterans. Her love for people, motorcycles, music, and giving back to the community was a defining part of who she was. She made an impact on everyone she met.
Regina is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Catherine and Arthur Tucker; her sister, Helen Marie Anderson; and her brother, Christopher Tucker.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Maxfield; daughters, Jennifer Tucker Hendrick and Catherine Mary Briggman; Stepdaughter, Jessica L. Maxfield and her partner, Scotty Morrison; sister, Mary Ann Draper; brother, John Ridley Tucker; grandchildren, Mason Hendrick, Sammie Briggman, Keelie Kearsey, Kayden McCardle, Kail McCardle; and a great-grandson, Braylen Kearsey.
Regina will be remembered for her caring spirit, her devotion to family, and her passion for supporting those in need. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. The family is planning a Celebration of Life Ceremony and will announce the details at a later date.
