Richard, "Dick" LaCrosse passed away peacefully at his home on June 6, 2021 after a short illness. He was born in Merrill, WI on May 14, 1929. We lost a great man and he will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
He proudly served his country in the Navy (1948-1956) and US Air Force (1956-1968). He completed a tour in Vietnam (1966-1967). He retired after 20 years. He came to Fort Walton Beach retiring from Vitro service after 20 years. After retiring he enjoyed the outdoors, camping and especially the sea and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence LaCrosse and mother, Helen M. Hovind and brother Clifford LaCrosse.
He is survived by his wife, Joan of 48 years and children Keith (Cindy), Linda (Mike Kelly), Thomas, Tracy (Chris Clark), Bill (Kelly), April (Chris Held), Kelly (Tracey Fink), Paula (Jim Balster) and his niece Penny (Rick Widmer).
He Leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
The family is grateful for the support and care of Hospice, FWB Hospital, and Dr. Zottoli during his illness.
A memorial will be held Sept. 24 at 10:00 at Heritage Gardens, 2201 Partin Dr. N. Niceville, FL. Celebration of life to follow at Westwood Bapt. Church 401 Hollywood Blvd NW, FWB
