Ronald Marion Ragan went to be with the Lord on September 17, 2021 at the age of 76.
Survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon Agee Ragan; his daughters Kim Ragan (Steve) Griggs, Adonna Ragan; grandchildren Ragan, Reilly and Rinna Griggs, Evan and Abby Bacon;
Siblings Jim (Elaine) Treglown, Chuck (Aileen) Treglown, Teresa Stanley; Brother-in-law Jim (Dianne) Agee; many nieces and nephews; honorary son, Brian Immel.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Treglown; brother in law, Boyd Stanley; in-laws
Otis and Eunice Agee; and best friend, George Sutton.
Ron was born in Rome, Georgia on July 10, 1945. He was a graduate of Pepperell High School
in Lindale, Georgia. He went on to attend Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee where he
met his love, Sharon.
Ron was an ordained minister in the Church of God (Cleveland, TN) for 56 years. He began his ministry in Nassau, Bahamas as a youth pastor. He served as State Youth Director in
Nebraska, Arizona and Washington State as well as pastoring churches in Michigan, Tennessee, and Indiana. He retired from Trinity Fellow Church of God in Indianapolis, IN, where he
pastored for 44 years and founded Trinity Christian School.
Ron will always be remembered for his heart for missions, love of the islands, and dapper style.
Beyond his walk with the Lord, he valued nothing more than his wife, daughters and being the
best Poppy to his grandchildren. He took such joy in spoiling each of them.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 13th at Trinity Fellowship Church of
God in Indianapolis. The family will gather for a private service in Rome, Georgia where he will be laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his honor to the Smokey Mountain Home for Children in Sevierville, TN.
