Ronald Glenn Swafford

Ronald Glenn Swafford, Age 83, of Niceville Florida, passed away  peacefully on December 26, 2025. Ron was born in Potterville (Reynolds) Georgia on April 2, 1942, to Shelley and Charnie Pearl Swafford. Ron lived in Georgia until joining the Navy in 1960, where he met the beautiful Patsy, and they married in 1961. Ron had a 22-year distinguished US Naval career, receiving numerous personal and campaign awards, including Vietnam, and retiring in 1982 as a Chief Petty Officer. As a civilian, he was an instructor at the US Naval Station in Great Lakes, IL for several years before moving to the Panhandle of Florida in 1987, where he worked for the 96th Test Wing at Eglin AFB before retiring. Ron was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Patsy, who passed away in 2018, and we all are rejoicing knowing they are together again in Heaven. He is survived by his children TJ Swafford (Rhonda), William Swafford (Suzanne) and Susan Bouley (Dale), along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Nicky (Rhonda) Swafford. A private family graveside burial is planned.
