Samuel “Frank” Miller, Niceville, FL went to be with the Lord on Sunday July 19, 2021 at the age of 76. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pastor Dewey and Catherin Miller, 2 brothers, Wayne and Johnny Miller, and his step son, Sean Henning. He leaves behind a devoted and loving wife of 37 years, Margaret Miller (Niceville, FL). Also surviving him are his 3 sisters, Carolyn Kersey, Rachel (Tony) Yarbrough, and Rebecca (Andy) Lively, 2 step sons, Rick Henning (Oahu, HI) and Rob (Susan) Henning (Brownsburg, IN), 3 grandchildren by marriage, Travis Henning (Charleston, SC), Amanda Henning (Brownsburg, IN) and Summer Henning (Oahu, HI), godchild Julian Jones (Niceville, FL), and a host of other relatives and lifelong friends.
Frank was a retired Senior Assistant Fire Chief of Eglin AFB for 29 years, active service Army, and served his hometown of Niceville, FL as a bus driver for the Okaloosa County School District. He was especially attentive to serving children with special needs within the education system, as well as being active in his church, where his greatest joy was serving his Savior Jesus Christ and looking forward to the everlasting life to come…
Visitation will be from 2-4pm Sunday July 25 at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery in Niceville, FL with the funeral service following on Monday, July 26 at 10am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of his step son, Sean Henning, who passed away from cancer in 2006.
