Sergio Raul Ramos

Sergio Raul Ramos passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at home. He was born on December 3, 1952, in El Paso, Texas, to Cecilio and Juana Ramos.

Sergio proudly served four years in the United States Air Force before settling in Niceville, Florida, where he met his wife, Donna, and started their family. He retired from civil service as a jet engine mechanic, a role that reflected both his technical skill and dedication.

A natural builder and problem-solver, Sergio believed he could build or create anything he imagined.

He found great joy in coaching softball, woodworking, and spending treasured time with his grandchildren.

Sergio devoted countless hours to the VNGSA and was always willing to lend his time, talents, and heart wherever needed. Above all, he was a devoted grandfather who supported his grandchildren in every aspect of their lives, encouraging them to dream big and work hard to achieve their goals.

He will be remembered for his service, kindness, and generosity.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Christina, and son-in-law, Jason Sallee; grandchildren, Haleigh and Tayler Sallee; siblings, Marta Ramos, Irma Aguirre, and Edward Ramos; brother- and sister-in-law, Jimbo Powell and Deborah Dye; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecilio and Juana Ramos; his brother, Cecilio Ramos; his sister, Yolanda Gloria; and his in-laws, William and Imogene Powell.

Services will be held at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home, 2201 Partin Dr. N, Niceville, FL 32578, on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. There will be a visitation for friends and family from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM. He will be laid to rest following the service at Heritage Gardens Cemetery.
