Sheri Adams Obituary

Sheri Lee (Gossman) Adams, 47, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, passed away on October 31, 2024, her favorite holiday, after a short but courageous battle against stage 4 lung cancer.

Sheri was born January 28, 1977, at Eglin AFB, Florida, to her parents, Barry and Debbie Gossman.

Sheri, since even as a little girl, wanted to become an actress. She loved being around people and making them laugh. You could always count on her for laughter and brightness, no matter the type of day you were having. Anyone who knew Sheri knew she was the lover of all things spooky and Halloween. Skulls, scary movies, and of course, her Jack Skellington. Sheri achieved her top bucket list item of meeting her idol, Marilyn Manson, shortly before her diagnosis, in September. She was able to see him and get a picture with him wearing her heart-shaped glasses.

Sheri loved her family more than anything, and that includes her friends that became family to her. Her two boys, Drew and JR, were the world to her, she was so proud of them in everything that they did, the true loves of her life.

Sheri was preceded in death by her paternal side, grandparents Stephen and Doris Gossman, and her maternal side, grandparents George and Nancy (Nana) Alexander, and loving cousin, Cody White.

Sheri is survived by her sons, Andrew Adams and Douglas (JR) Adams, Jr., Parents, Barry Gossman and Debbie (Alexander) Gossman, Brother, Barry Lee Gossman (Jamey), Uncle, Gary Alexander (Peggy), Aunt, Michele Hodges, Uncle, Perry Gossman, Aunt Pam Reppert (Willy), and Aunt, Tami Knerr (Bo), and many loving cousins and nephews.

Sheri will be laid to rest at Heritage Gardens Cemetery in Niceville, Florida. Sheri does not want a service or sadness over her passing, She wants everyone to remain laughing, loving one another, and smiling at the memories she has left behind.

In lieu of flower donations to Sheri, Donations can be made towards helping her boys futures at her gofundme page, https://gofund.me/bd9bb42d, or in Sheri’s name to the American Cancer Society.
