Soleil Arden Stanley, age 26, of Niceville Fl, born 14 Jul 1994 in Orlando, left us and began reigning with his Heavenly Father on 5 Jun 2021. At the time of his transition to Glory, he was surrounded by his paternal grandparents and dearest friend Sean Doyle. Soleil touched many lives and was dearly loved by all. Recently Soleil started his flooring business, USA Forever Flooring. Though he loved this business and was so proud of the work he was accomplishing, his real passion was fishing. He loved halibut fishing in Alaska, deep-sea fishing out of Destin, and catching redfish from the shore.
Soleil talked a big talk, but was tender hearted and would go out of his way to help those in need and offer an encouraging word. An athletic youngster, Soleil made many friends on the courts and fields as he competed with passion in soccer, basketball, little league baseball, and cross country. Soleil struggled through school, but graduated with his High School Diploma on 27 Feb 2013. Soleil loved all animals and always wanted to bring home any dog or kitten he met. As Soleil would be installing a floor, he often would take a video with the owner’s dog helping him, again showing his softer side.
A question that is often asked is what Soleil’s name means, well it is French for ‘Sunshine’, so often as a child we always said You are my sunshine…my only sunshine…you make me happy…you are singing the song in your head aren’t you?
Soleil had a love for Coke Icee’s, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Mexican Food and was a little crazy about POLO from shirts, jeans, belts, socks, and cologne, you name it, he liked it.
Soleil is survived by his Father, Arden Lee Stanley of Defuniak Springs, FL, Brothers, Nolan Johnson of Tallahassee, FL, Emory Thomas of Richardson, TX, Dale and Simone Stanley of Radford, VA and his Sister, Ornella Stanley of Radford, VA. Grandparents Les & Jeannette Stevens and Dale & Sue Stanley both of Niceville, FL and Great-grandmother Beulah Bennett of Rainier, WA. as well as multiple Cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Great Aunts and Uncles, Nieces and Nephews, Great nieces and nephews and numerous friends that became family.
Soleil is proceeded in death by his Mother, Linda Karen Waters of Niceville, FL, his maternal Grandmother, Linda Stevens of Niceville and Grandfather, Tom Waters of Pensacola, FL and his paternal Great Uncle, Garnest Turner, Lacey, WA.
So, going forward as we travel this journey of life without our beloved Soleil our hearts will hurt, our eyes will tear up and tears will travel down our faces, and we will have an empty space at our table where our beautiful, charming, and charismatic Soleil would sit. Our family will forever protect and treasure the good memories, because there were so many of them.
Soleil, we loved you through good times and hard times and will miss you for the rest of our lives. So very thankful that God blessed us with you and the state entrusted us to raise you. Rest in peace and we will meet again.
Soleil will be laid to rest on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home. The viewing will be held at 1pm and the Funeral Service will start at 2pm. Interment will follow at Heritage Gardens Cemetery.
We invite you to join us for Soleil’s Celebration of Life on Friday, 25 June 2021, at 4pm, at Wharf 850, 821 Bayshore Drive, Niceville.
