Stephanie Lynn Chason

Stephanie Lynn (Schones) Chason of Niceville, Florida, age 45, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024. She was born in Rochester, New Hampshire, to Kent Leon and Patricia Martha (Lapointe) Schones on March 12, 1979.

Stephanie was a 1997 graduate of Niceville High School and later earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Jacksonville State University. As a teenager, Stephanie’s life was changed when she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and became passionate for others to know Him as well.  She was a loving wife and dedicated mother.  Stephanie spent much of her time homeschooling her two children and volunteering for ministries of her local church.  

She is survived by her husband Chris, children Corbin and Abigail, brother Justin Schones, grandparents Corbin and Billie Jean Newcomb, as well as many others within her extended family. She was preceded in death by both of her parents. All family and friends are invited to Rocky Bayou Baptist Church in Niceville on Saturday, September 21, 2024, to honor and remember her life.  There will be a time of visitation beginning at 09:30 am, with a funeral service to follow at 10:30 am.  Interment will be at Heritage Gardens Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, Stephanie requested that donations be made in her honor to The Heights Tutoring Center, an outreach ministry of Rocky Bayou Baptist Church.
