Steven D Chisler

Steven Daniel Chisler, born in Augusta Georgia on June 30^th 1948. After graduating high school, Dad joined the Air Force where he served his country proudly for 20 years. After retiring from active duty, Dad eventually joined the Civil Service once again working for the Air Force as a weapons engineer. He served in this capacity for another 26 years, retiring in 2013. Dad often left his job each day and worked at pawn shops. It’s here that he learned to spot great deals most people miss. Dad loved fishing, though not always catching! He loved to sit out on the bank of a pond, fishing pole in hand, enjoying nature, didn’t care if he caught anything, just wanted to be out there. Dad passed away in the home he shared with my mom, my brother and I for so many years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Tempi Chisler. He is survived by his oldest son Alex Chisler and wife Tracy Chisler. Younger and taller son Nick Chisler and wife Shannon Chisler. Grandchildren Hadyen and Caroline Chisler, Logan and Lorelei Chisler. Mom Cathy Dixon, brother David, sister Leigh, sister Kim, brother John. As well as many nieces and nephews he loved. And his best friend Marvin Sparks.

Funeral services for Dad will be held at Heritage Gardens on Friday November 18^th at 2:00pm, visitation at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, we ask you to make a donation to a veteran’s charity of your choice. Our family thanks you for your kind words and prayer during this difficult time.
