Susan Jeanne Winterberger

Susan Jeanne Winterberger, age 67, passed away on December 26, 2025. She was born on January 1, 1958, in Sanford, Maine, to the late Barry L. McCullough and Jeanne D. Lantagne McCullough.

Susan graduated from Niceville High School in 1976. She earned her nursing ADN at State Fair Community College in 1983, a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Saint Joseph’s College in 2001, and her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2005.

Susan practiced as a family law attorney in Crestview, Florida, for 15 years and used her nursing and healthcare degrees as a critical care nurse and healthcare risk manager. She was deeply committed to helping others, particularly those who may not have otherwise had access to legal support. Outside of her profession, she enjoyed cruising whenever possible. Christmas and time spent with her family brought her the greatest joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Barry L. McCullough and Jeanne D. Lantagne McCullough; Darlene A. McCullough; and her brother, Allen St. Laurent.

Susan is survived by her children, Justin L. Dockery (Danielle), Jacob B. Dockery (Yukari), and Sara Blasberg (Jeremy); her grandchildren, Anastasia and Jaxson Dockery, Joy and Kayla Dockery, and Timothy and Grayson Blasberg; her sister, Priscilla Moore (Richard); and her brothers, Greg McCullough and Rick McCullough (Mary); Daisy; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home, 2201 Partin Dr. N, Niceville, FL 32578, on Monday, January 5, 2026. There will be a visitation for friends and family from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. Susan will be laid to rest following the service at Heritage Gardens Cemetery.
