Suzanne Lentner Obituary

Suzanne Kay Lentner (née Weable), 87, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026, in Freeport, Florida. Born on February 17, 1939, in Leon, Iowa, Suzanne lived a life filled with love, faith, and an unwavering devotion to her family and those around her.

Suzanne was the daughter of Duane and Maxiene Weable. She grew up in Iowa and graduated from high school before embarking on a journey that would touch countless lives. Her faith became a cornerstone of her life when she found God in Phoenix, Arizona—a transformative moment that shaped her spiritual path. From that point forward, Suzanne’s faith was unshakable; Jesus was her savior, and she carried His teachings in her heart every day.

Suzanne was predeceased by her first husband, Jared Kennedy; her second husband, Richard Lentner; her youngest brother, Steve Weable; and her beloved parents. Despite these losses, she remained a beacon of strength and compassion for those who knew her.

She is survived by her loving daughter Dawn Riedel and son-in-law James; stepdaughter Gayle Lentner; brother Dennis Weable and his wife Donna; sister-in-law Sue Weable; and many members of the Kennedy family from her first marriage. Suzanne shared a particularly special bond with her grandson Jared while cherishing all of her family equally and deeply.

A woman of remarkable kindness and charisma, Suzanne had an innate ability to connect with people. She was selfless, empathetic, and genuine—qualities that endeared her to everyone she met. Her gregarious nature made every interaction memorable, as she radiated warmth and compassion.

Thrift shopping brought Suzanne immense joy. She had a passion for collecting shoes, jewelry, and clothes—a hobby that reflected her vibrant personality. Beyond material treasures, however, Suzanne’s greatest passion was the love she gave so freely to others.

Suzannes’  legacy is one of faith, love, and generosity. Her spiritual journey inspired those around her to seek deeper meaning in their own lives. She loved everyone unconditionally and embraced life with an open heart.

May Suzanne’s memory bring comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her light will continue to shine through the lives she touched.
