On Wednesday, Nov 17th, 2021, Terry F Pool of Niceville, FL died at 67 years old. For most of his adult life, he lived in the Panhandle of FL. Most of all, Terry was a Christian man—saved and loved by Jesus Christ. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joyce, and his sons, John and Josh, 39 y.o. and 33 y.o., respectively. He has 7 grandchildren: Logan, Abigail, Jack, Lucas, Gavin, Kate, and Grayson. Another little girl is due in February 2022. He is also survived by his sisters, Elaine and Melanie, and brother, Bill.
Terry is well-known and loved in the Niceville community as a pastor, spending 22 years on staff at Generations United Church. He counseled, prayed with, and simply cared for hundreds in his church. His passions were many: theology, science fiction, sports, and learning just about anything. He was a dominant crossword puzzle fiend, an avid reader, and an all-around, well-informed, intelligent man. Most of all, his passion was living for the glory of Jesus Christ. His favorite verse was Philippians 3.10: ‘I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection, and may share in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.’ By God’s grace, Terry knows Christ more than ever as he sees him now face-to-face.
He was a good husband, good father, good pastor, and overall, a godly man who loved others well. Biblically minded. Jovial. Tender. Passionate. Talented. A man to be remembered.
His Memorial service will be held at Generations United Church on Saturday, Nov 20, 2021 at 11:00am. All are welcome.
