William K. Simpson, 69, passed away peacefully on February 19 in Lakeland, FL. He was born on April 27, 1954, in Ft. Wayne, IN, to Cecil and Mary Simpson. He is survived by his wife, Erlinda Simpson; sons, Wilbert and Wilbern; and grandchildren, Kendall and Saskia.

William K. Simpson was a loving husband, devoted father, and a fun-loving grandfather. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, unwavering faith in God, approachable nature, can-do attitude, and dedication to giving his best. He touched the lives of many through his work in evangelism, poetry, scouting leadership, and captivating storytelling.

In his professional life, William K. Simpson served his country proudly as a munitions expert with the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant and completing two tours in Desert Storm. After 23 years of honorable service, he ventured into small business ownership, culinary arts as a chef, and contract work for the U.S. Air Force.

Outside of work, he found joy in listening to music, culinary pursuits, indulging in historical fiction, and engaging in heartfelt conversations with anyone willing to share their stories.

William K. Simpson will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A celebration of his life will be held on April 5 at 9:00 AM at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home, 2201 Partin Drive N, Niceville, FL 32578. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in memory of William K. Simpson.
